Short Bio

나하은Na Haeun was born on July 1, 1996, in South Korea and spent her childhood and early twenties there. She then moved to Germany to study fine art and currently lives in The Hague, Netherlands.

I work primarily with installation and performance to tell stories. I reinterpret tradition through my perspective as a woman, an Asian, and an immigrant asking how we can create our own traditions here and now. I am particularly concerned with making visible the solidarity formed through women's labor. My work seeks to visualize this often overlooked labor, to render it present and perceptible.

Through my practice, I explore who holds the power to define what is marginal, strange, incorrect, or trivial. I raise these questions through my work and share them with others, often through workshops and collaboration.
